From March 23 to 27, 2026, MHAM College Inc., through the MHAM Sustainability Office, proudly partnered with Rise Above Foundation Cebu, Inc. and the University of the Pacific, USA, in a Free Dental Clinic held at Guadalupe Elementary School, Cebu City. This humanitarian initiative brought together volunteer dental professionals and community partners to provide essential oral healthcare services to underserved individuals.
The five-day outreach offered free tooth extractions, dental fillings, and oral prophylaxis (teeth cleaning), benefiting members of the local community through accessible and quality dental care. The activity reflected the shared commitment of all partner organizations to improving public health and promoting oral hygiene as an essential component of overall health and well-being.
MHAM’s participation in the mission underscores the institution’s commitment to community engagement, global collaboration, and service-oriented education. By working alongside an international team of volunteer dentists from the University of the Pacific, USA, MHAM strengthened meaningful partnerships while contributing to impactful healthcare outreach efforts in Cebu.
This collaborative mission stands as a testament to the power of compassion, volunteerism, and international cooperation in building healthier communities. Their research, entitled “Assessment of Attitude, Knowledge, and Perception of Sex Education of Senior High School Students of Ramon Duterte Memorial National High School, AY 2024–2025,” was selected for presentation among distinguished researchers, educators, and healthcare professionals from around the world. This achievement reflects the students’ commitment to advancing scientific inquiry and contributing meaningful research to the field of public health.
The acceptance of their study on an international platform highlights the quality of education and research culture fostered by the MHAM BS Biology Program. It also demonstrates the institution’s dedication to developing future scientists and healthcare professionals who are equipped to address real-world health issues through evidence-based research and innovation.
